[googlefont="Philosopher"][googlefont="PT Sans"] [attr="class","tgboxyak"] [attr="class","txtbxyak"] [attr="class","rbtxtbr2"]She was standing in the middle of the Ankokku main house. An army of baking supplies surrounded her on the counter as she finished tying her dark curls back into a ponytail. Her blue gaze was trained on the open book in front of her. A thick leather-bound text with several pages marked up with ink. All of them held precise measurements and directions for different concoctions. Today…she was practicing a few recipes for a party. The fact she was baking in the Ankokku main house? She’d negotiated the privilege due to her own kitchen needing repair…a long story, but one of her blood slaves managed to burn it down boiling water. Ookami would deal with the aftermath so long as she kept her fangs to herself. No biting any of the servants here…that was easy. She didn’t normally go stealing food from anyone. Delicious for some and disgusting for others.
Aria was careful as she flipped through the pages of the book. Her nails lightly scraped the edge as each worn page moved aside. What did she desire to make first? A cake sounded like a good idea. She brought lots of fresh strawberries with her, but a classic vanilla custard could also be tempting. The weather was nice, so maybe lemon squares? Her brain was racing with ideas.
The vampire let out a breath from between her pink painted lips. She would need to decide quickly if she wanted to get all this baking done before the Ankokku lord returned. He would make his annoyance very clear if his kitchen was a mess. Though as Aria started to narrow down her selection she noticed a tiny female looking at her from the doorway. Her blue eyes lit up and she smiled softly at the younger girl. ”Yuuka? I thought you were going out with Ookami today.”

Recently speaking, the guards to her room had been a little more relaxed with her. Perhaps it was due to orders on Ookami's part, allowing her to move through the residence more freely. Sometimes it even felt like she didn't have anyone watching her every move at all. Well, sometimes. A glance over her shoulder revealed two who would normally stand in front of her door, their gaze shot elsewhere whenever she was looking. At least the men finally allowed her to take the lead. As the miniature soul drifted from hallway to hallway, she stopped short of a corner when the Vampire came into view. Cheeks puffed up before she clung to the wall of the hallway, glaring at the stranger like she was her worst enemy in the flesh. Deep blue irises switched from Aria to the counter, then towards a cabinet, and back again before Aria had noticed her. "Squirrel."A huffed response, she only moved away from the wall and into the kitchen due to sheer curiosity. Her gaze remained on an unseen force, guards replacing her spot in the hallway. She would have replied, but she didn't pay much attention to the question she was asked in the first place. "Food? Is it done? Almost?"Gliding over to the counter-top, she fixed herself atop it before checking the materials. "For Crow?"

beautiful as a rose,Aria looked at the figures in the doorway. Their looming presence clearly intending to be a threat for her as the tiny fairy floated into the space. She blinked before looking around at the selection of products on the table. She wasn’t expecting an audience for this little baking trial, honestly she intended to be alone in this space…at least without the staff intruding on her work.
She looked up at the fairy as she came somewhat closer to her. The statement of squirrel was surprising. Was there a such a rodent in this place? ”Squirrel…where?” She glanced at the guards. One of them pointed towards her, a motion intended as a hint. She was the squirrel? ”M-me?” She felt her cheeks heat up. Seriously that was how this little fairy viewed her?
Then the question about the food. What was happening? Oh, right. Yuuka’s appearance caught her off guard…so obviously she still needed to pick her recipe. She looked at the book and flipped it around for the little fairy to see. Her blue eyes sparkling with excitement. ”Not yet. I’m going to make strawberry cupcakes.” She shook her head at the mention of Crowe….whoever that must have been to her. Ookami maybe?
”They’re for everyone. Would you like to help me?”

Nudging at the materials closest to her, Yuuka simply nodded. Prep was all that the squirrel had accomplished, though she wished that she came in as she was finishing up. Eating sweets sounded better than making them. She nearly lost herself to the thought until a hiccup brought her back to reality. "So, what's on the menu? This is a lot for one or two recipes."She remarked, counting inventory yet quickly losing track of everything she had gathered into one place. "And are you making them off memory or is there a book around? Oh-- never mind."It was only after she asked that she noticed the leather-bound text, to which she skipped closer towards. Getting close and personal next to her face, she leaned over to read the text. "If there isn't any particular order you're making these, then maybe this one should be the last? Chocolate is best eaten while warm and fresh out."

beautiful as a rose,Yuuka seemed to be disappointed in the fact that the baking hadn’t started yet. Honestly, as much as it struck her attention to see the small fairy walking over to her book to investigate the recipes…she still didn’t understand the whole Squirrel thing. Was she just that fluffy? A little sigh left her lips. ”I suppose you’re right. Chocolate would be best eaten warm. Maybe in a pudding, or making fresh candies? I have the materials for caramel too.” She remembered Ookami mentioning Yuuka’s love for the sticky sweet substance.
Though perhaps getting the fairy’s feet wet figuratively should start slow. Making candies from scratch was difficult at times. ”Let’s start with cookies.” She flipped to the page for a sugar cookie recipe that they could decorate once they were cool. ”We can put icing on them after they’re finished.” She smiled before pulling a bowl out from the cabinet below.

Cookies, cookies... She'd eaten her fill of them, but never had she tried her hands at making any. Or caramel. Or brownies or pudding or anything else! Surely Yuuka might have had some disdain for the pinkette, but the offer to assist would put aside those feelings-- at least for the moment. Drifting over to the sack of flour, tiny hands patted the white mix, unaware of what to really do with it. As such, she opted to drag its container closer to Aria, though it partly spilled on the way. "Okay, okay. Cook-ies!"Unapologetically, Fairy wiped her hand of powder onto Aria's arm as the task completed. "And Icing! We have? Or we make, too?"
