A robed young figure knocked on his door one rainy day. Manson could only assume his age to be around 8 or 9. He was shaking, bruised with claw marks on his skinny legs long since scabbed and re-scabbed over, and his robe was worn, wet, and ragged. With a sigh, he rushed the boy inside his home and set him by the fireplace, giving him a glass of water and a warm blanket. [break][break]
"I heard," the boy's trembling voice spoke. "that someone here can help." [break][break]
Manson cleared his throat. "I'm not so sure I can, but I can definitely try." [break][break]
"The h-hunger. It won't s-stop. It never stops and it hurts and hurts so much, but I won't eat people anymore. I heard you can help me not eat people." [break][break]
"...Ah, shit, of course," Manson thought as he grit his teeth and briefly shifted his gaze from the child. [break][break]
"Look, kid. Where are your parents? Are you here alone?" [break][break]
"My parents are gone. A scary vampire came and took them away awhile ago." [break][break]
Manson was silent. He sat down in his wooden rocking chair and invited the kid to sit by him. He gazed at the fireplace for a minute, collecting his words. [break][break]
"We live in a world where people with power and money can come and snatch our parents away from us, yet we are still the villains because we need to eat people to survive. I think you understand that now." [break][break]
Tears welled in the boys face, but he nodded and continued to sniffle. [break][break]
"Those scars on your legs... where did they come from?" [break][break]
The boy grew defensive and hid the injuries on his legs, scowling at Manson. "Can you help me or not, Mr. Mason?" [break][break]
"...I can. Just a little bit. Let me show you." [break][break]
Manson flicked his head, gesturing to the kitchen. The boy followed him to the freezer, which he opened. It was filled with intestines, stomachs, tongues, and other forms of gore packaged onto small plates. The boy backed away, disappointed. [break][break]
"Kid, there's nothing I can do about your hunger. However..." he grabbed a plate, "each of these plates are made up of non-murdered dead bodies. There's a note on each one telling you the race, the time and reason of death, and some of their hobbies. It is my rule that if you must read the note every time before you eat and pray. Got it?" [break][break]
The boy was silent, and unsatisfied. [break][break]
"Look, I know it's not for everyone. But you came here looking for help. So you can take the food and eat it respectfully or die out in the cold hungry and alone. It's...a cruel world out there sometimes. If you need food, I can give it to you here. if you need shelter, you can take it here too. Also, if anyone gives you a hard time about eating, I'll beat their ass for you." [break][break]
The boy cracked a small smile, but his eyes remained empty. [break][break]
"Hey, if you ever need a meal or a place to get away, this house is open. Just don't bring too many friends along and you, and we'll be fine." [break][break] [attr="class","sub-thing2"] [attr="class","sub-text2"]History and Relations [attr="class","temp-text2"] Friend and advocate for Gray. He had previously started a movement within the ghoul community where people seeking alternatives for murder for feeding could come.[break][break]
Manson spent the majority of his early life in a commune where people came and went out of his life constantly. He was surrounded by drug addicts, people with debilitating mental disorders. Here, he spent a long time improving his fitness. He blamed the Council for the misfortunes his "family" had gone through and he swore that he would change their hearts, for he believed all people, deep down, had some goodness within them.[break][break]
His persistence and physical strength proved incredible, and he quickly caught the eye of the demons' council member, who took him under her wing as a bodyguard. He was granted access to Upper Pavane and was quickly rejected by his friends and family in the ghoul slums.[break][break]
He spent four years living in Upper Pavane. There, he quickly realized how little power he had to change things. No one accepted him, being the only ghoul there, and his inability to do anything about the Council's tyranny was nothing but frustrating. He resigned as a bodyguard, garnering the hate of the Council.[break][break]
He returned to the ghoul slums where he slowly built a reputation as a hero. He described his experience in Upper Pavane to those around him: [break][break]
"The Council members a hold an unjust, manipulative grasp on all of Pavane. Hell, sometimes I feel likke ghouls are the only ones who can see it. Those cruel, stubborn, sheltered assholes will never open their eyes to the suffering they cause. People like that- Monsters like that - deserve nothing but to die the worst possible deaths imaginable."[break][break]
Manson's view on the world has changed. He has now dedicated himself to a bar where he works to provide ghouls with meat from bodies that do not require murder from victims of suicide and natural deaths. [break][break]
He now works as the leader at the head of the ghoul uprising together with his friend, Gray.
