[attr="class","back-thing2"] [attr="class","app-title"]NEVINA, QUILLIAM [attr="class","sub-thing2"] [attr="class","sub-text2"]Physical Description [attr="class","temp-text2"]With a look of distracted indifference, Nevina gazed up at the night sky, wide awake. She studied her saw-like blades, wordless, as she applied the coat of poison deftly. The moon had almost risen. Her glossy eyes seemed to stare at nothing in particular as she sat alone in the tree. Her bandages at this point had practically become a sense of fashion what with all the wounds she had sustained in the past week alone. Most who see her immediately notice her interesting clothing or the flower in her hair. She rarely graces such inquiries with a response. [break][break][attr="class","sub-thing2"] [attr="class","sub-text2"]Personality [attr="class","temp-text2"]"Pavane is not what you believe it to be." the skeptic Nevina rarely says a word, but those close to her, perhaps only her sister at this point, knew the intent behind her words. Someone who has been uninfluenced by the society at large for quite some time, Nevina took a pragmatic and realistic approach to life. She honestly prefers living paycheck to paycheck in such a risky business. She sometimes comes off as cold, as witches often do. She rarely attaches herself to other people as she sees it as a targetable weakness to her character. She has grown much to emulate the Grand Witch is speech in mannerisms. She lacks a sense of humor, but her charm lies in her desire to always return a favor. "I want to die without any regrets," she would say, "so I put my burdens right back on the people who put them on me." [break][break][attr="class","sub-thing2"] [attr="class","sub-text2"]History and Relations [attr="class","temp-text2"]A bastard born from a witch's experiment, Nevina strangely grew up with very little magickal prowess of her own despite having a strong magickal lineage. Her mother abandoned her after confirming a mild success of her hypothesis leaving Nevina an awkward outcast in the territory of the witch. For years, she put up with torment for her abnormalities from her peers and was often met with fear or condescension from the adults above her. Instead of studying magick, she studied swordplay and hunting techniques in attempts to find work at a young age. She took on gueling tasks hunting aberrations, horrors that would prey on unsuspecting witches in the night with little to no pay for her work.
After twenty years of enduring hardship with the witches, she sought out her elven family where she was initially met with even greater hostility. As she quickly found out, the elven peoples would not so easily associate with a witch. In a desperate attempt to gain the power of the elves, she attempted and failed at stealing the magick of her then-lover as she had learned the witches had once done years ago. Things were not so simple for her it seemed.
It would be only a short time then that she found and met a member of the Vatican who sympathized with her tale and brought her into the great tree of Yggdrasil. She was temporarily admitted to the orphanage of the Church where she found work with the Pope of the time. Now, she has been reunited with her sister Nagiko and mostly takes dirty assassin work for the Church with a few odd jobs from the Council here and there. Her adept understanding in both swordplay and magickal infusions is a rarity in Pavane, so her work remains invaluable to the Church. She sees herself more as a disposable pawn, however.
